On May 15, 2012 Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius announced new funding initiatives to aid in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease. The plan, presented at the Alzheimer’s Research Summit 2012, includes funding of new research projects, tools for clinicians, easier access to information for caregivers and an awareness campaign.
